Brothers Painting JJ, LLC began when two brothers, owner Julio Martinez and his brother, dreamed of turning their love of painting into a business. Now, over 20 years later, our work can be seen all over the Charlotte area. We strive to not only meet our clients’ expectations but exceed them. If a customer isn’t 100% satisfied then we have simply not done our job. Painting is our specialty, however, Brothers Painting also offers a wide menu of exterior and interior home improvement services, too! Soffit & Fascia Repair
The importance of the soffit and fascia of your home is often overlooked or downplayed. Brothers Painting realizes the role these areas of your home or office exterior play in their protection and overall aesthetics. It is important to keep both these areas in good shape to avoid moisture penetration or pests. If you are starting to notice discoloration, peeling, cracking, or rot on your soffit or fascia, it may be an indicator they need professional repair.
The soffit on most properties is either wood or vinyl and it lies underneath the overhang of your roof. Its sole purpose is to prevent moisture from blowing into your home. This area is often tempting for small animals and insects as it makes the perfect place for them to reside. Once the surface of your soffit is compromised, it can lead to holes, cracks, rot, and decay.
The fascia is the exposed horizontal band located at the end of your building’s rafters. This area is often susceptible to rot and peeling paint as well. One of the most common factors that cause degradation of the fascia is moisture.

Brothers Painting only uses high-quality paint that will stand up to the elements, and we recommend these surfaces receive a new coat every three to five years. I received competitive bids from two excellent companies to make minor gutter repairs and a major paint job on the exterior of my brick home. Julio came to my house with the whole crew and carefully instructed them on the work details. Julio recommended high quality paints, especially as this was a brick painting job but based on our agreed upon price it didn't feel like I was paying for the premium product - and work - that I received. They clearly have a lot of experience and know what they are doing. They know that the prep work is vital to a good and lasting paint job. In addition to interior and exterior painting we asked them to do some unique things like paint stucco and limewash brick and whitewash wood.
